Christmas Eve & Reindeer Games

We Fondued at Aunt Gayle's (per family tradition), played with puppies, Skyped with Grandma and Grandpa (who were in Australia with Kathy and Brent), and played "Reindeer Games" with cousins on Christmas Eve! (The nerd pics of Gracie are an added bonus ;)...

The kids left milk and cookies for Santa.  This is Ryan's last Christmas falling asleep with dreams of hoof sounds on the rooftop (8 yrs old) as his dad let him know what's up the next morning.  Oopsies! The traditional line-up on the stairway was smaller and not on stairs but it's tradition!  The kids loved what Santa brought them and we went skiing the next day.

Embrace the Snow!- Christmas 2013

Santa Brought us Skis!  We knew it was going to be cold when we moved to Utah so we came with the motto to embrace the snow!  We all loved our Christmas gifts and used them the very next day. It was a winter of fun that only Utah can provide.  Nathan was in town so he came, too.  So god for our kids that we can get along enough to let him hang with us for Christmas.  

Early Morning Surfing

Gracie's friend Jade's family invited us to Deer Creek early Saturday morning to try out the wake on their sweet new mastercraft x30.  Gracie surfed without the rope!

So proud of my kiddies!  Love teaching them to surf.  So fun!  :)

Great way to start a Saturday!  Then we went to Ry's soccer game and watched the BYU football game on tv.  

Just barely September and the leaves are changing.  Time to bust out the wetsuit.  Go away autumn!

Sunday Sunset Hike

We went on a hike to Emerald Lake as the sun was setting.  These two hikers are fast!  There are so many great outdoorsy things to do here.  Feels like we've barely scratched the surface!  Some guy hit on me in front of the kids and gave me his card with his number telling me he doesn't work so he has plenty of time to meet up…. Might not want to brag about being unemployed the next time you're looking for a date!  We had a good laugh about that on the way to Kurt and Karen's.  We stopped by for a quick visit on our way home.  Just love them!

Splash Park

So swimsuit?  No problem!  If it's summer, I want to be outside enjoying the sun!  We didn't have swimsuits but it was a nice evening so I encouraged the kids to just hop in anyways.  Sarah, Sophie, and Eva were in town for Education Week so we met up with Aunt Gayle and Michelle at the splash park for a nice summer evening.  Love seeing my kids so happy!

First Day of School

After a fun summer full of travel and adventures, Gracie and Ryan arrived just in time to start 6th and 4th grade.

Ryan took Gracie and I on a date!  He chose the restaurant, opened all our doors, and pulled out our chairs.  What a gentleman!  <3
