Princess Pool Party
When my b-day rolled around this year, Gracie was confused as to why we weren't in Canada and why we weren't having a party. She decided she needed to do something about it, so she planned a party for me! She wrote down a whole list of questions in her cutest-ever kindergarten writing about where I wanted my party, when, who, how, etc. She decided a Princess Pool Party would be perfect. She had me help her make and deliver the invitations. The girls were supposed to dress like princesses and the boys like superheroes. I have to admit, I was more than a little excited to wear a tiara! Is it wrong that I dream of fairytales and Prince Charmings? So what if I am 29 for the 3rd (or 4th) time!
Mom got into it just like the rest of us! Love your tiara, Mom!
The perfect colored dress to match my sparkly birthday shoes. (Gracie's present to me last year- she saw the shoes while shopping with me in Canada and convinced my mom to get them).
Parade Sleep over on the Roof
The 4th of July is a blast in Provo! They let you set up the day before and sleep out on the parade route. Katie lives on the route so we slept up on her roof. It was an adventure because she lives 4 floors up and the roof is a bit slanted. That night it started pouring rain. We were lucky that Natalie came top rescue us and let us in the skylight. The next moring we watched the parade. Yes, it rained on our parade, but not for long! Then it was off to Angie's for ribs and the to the Stadium of Fire to watch the fireworks. Katie and I didn't want to pay to get in but we found an awesome perch on a hill above the stadium. Fun times!
